OUR STORY
Straight answers, not a sales pitch
Texas Family Life Insurance was founded by J.D. Valdez around a simple idea: families deserve an advisor who explains their options honestly, not a rep whose job is to move one company’s product.
As an independent agency, we aren’t limited to a single carrier’s lineup. Every recommendation is based on what actually fits your budget and goals — not a quota.
That idea grew out of a personal experience. Before this agency existed, our founder was a chef, building a food truck and feeding families across Texas, when he survived being shot six times — the kind of moment most people don’t walk away from. It changed the direction of his life, and it’s the reason this agency exists: instead of feeding families, we’ve built our work around protecting them, because we know firsthand how quickly life can change, and how much it matters to have coverage in place before it does.
